Chris joined Chambers after practising at 1 Mitre Court Buildings in London for nearly 3 years where he remains a Door Tenant. In relation to Crime he has been instructed in a number of Crown Court trials ranging from Fraud and Theft through to Offences Against the Person and infringement of copyright. He has also had experience of Confiscation proceedings, Extradition and had cases stayed as an Abuse of Process.
Chris has also successfully appeared in the Court of Appeal in a number of cases including the reported case of: Regina v Gacke [2009] EWCA Crim 2645.
Chris’ Family work has involved disputes as to Residence, Contact, Non-Molestation and Ancillary Relief. Whilst at his previous Chambers he co-presented a CPD lecture on the Court of Protection, a lecture which he has been repeated a number of times.
In relation to Housing Chris has represented and advised Local Authorities in Possession Proceedings, Committal Proceedings and has extensive experience of Service Charges. He is also involved in developing training programmes for Local Authority housing officers in the law and practice of a number of areas including Anti-Social Behaviour Orders.
